Would anyone know if a Gruppe-S STi Group-N Tranny/Engine Mount combo would fit a BH? I am looking to smarten-up the shifting and shake on the Leg.

Yep. It's not a perfect fit, but it works. The pitch mount should be fine, engine mounts might need a little finagling.

BTW, Gruppe-S isn't going to be much greater than STi stuff, so if you can get STi stuff for much less, then I would go for that.

ok, there's some nomenclature confusion here.

gruppe S = vendor
Group N = hardened, Group N specification pieces. Not OEM on ANY subaru except perhaps the STi RA or Type R, etc.
STi = OEM, non-hardened mounts (same as impreza, wrx, etc).

The Group N motor mounts should work OK. I can take a look at my 00 legacy motor (sitting in my garage) and compare the mounts to a wrx motor I also have. The legacy motor has fuild-filled motor mounts, so even going to stock WRX mounts would give you some benefit. If you have a manual tranny, the Group N tranny mount will bolt right up. Otherwise, you can get the rallitek hardened AT tranny mount bushing insert.

Well, they're called the STi GroupN mounts simply because they're an STi (Subaru Technica International, not Impreza WRX STi) product.

We're saying the same thing. Some people just leave out the "Group N" part, causing confusion and misinformation. I just want to make sure that no one buys OEM STi mounts thinking they are the Group N STi mounts. The dealership will charge almost the same price for either and unscrupulous sellers might try to rip someone off.

Also, if you buy stock (Impreza) STi mounts, they won't work as the 6spd is different than the 5spd for mounting.

Unless you're GatorGT and you have a Spec B

erm, 5 and 6 speed are identical. There is no reason for them to be different since the EJ257 block is exactly the same on the exterior as an EJ205, EJ 25, etc and STi's don't have a special or different cross-member. The tranny mounts, howerver, are slightly different, but still compatible. I speak from personal experience

I was talking about the tranny mounts ;)

I figured talking about the 5MT and 6MT would tip people off...

me < reading comprehension. The 6mt tranny mount will fit a 5mt tranny even though it's not supposed to. I currently have one on my wrx tranny.

Oh, okay. It looks like it's shaped slightly differently. Like only 3 bolt holes line up. But I've never tried it ;)

So wait the Sti engine mounts part numbers D1010FE120 & D1010FE110 are NOT Group N?
