so,im stuck between a rock and a hard place,im set up for selling my legacy outback,its modded,but its a auto and its slow.....my maxima is a 5speed,its modded and its fast,but yesterday i was having my friend drive it to my house while i followed in my maxima,i relized how much i dont want to sell the legacy,its hot,its slow but its beautiuful.....id like to keep it and make it fast,whats the cheapest way to turbo it...so about a turbo kit? how would a auto finction with the turbo,...would it be fast enuf.....any help would be cool. heres a pic of the car for giggles.

Nah, not a turbo kit. Swap is the way to go. What were you thinking of getting to replace it that would be faster for about the same $$ you could get for it? I think to get what you're looking for, you're going to have to drop some money either way, so why not consider a swap?

Yea, turboing that motor is not going to be worth your while imo. Check the sticky at the top of the swaps and conversions forum, and let me know if you have any questions. WRX motors can be had for pretty cheap nowadays, and they came in automatic form, so you could technically keep the auto if you want.

Swap it, and fix those panels - because it's not hot until the paintwork is straight.
