Question for those who had WRX/STi catbacks installed

How much did the retrofit cost? I've been seeing some extremely high prices...the guys at Midas are douches, and I wouldn't go to them unless it was free.

$100 to get it fitted :( That included chopping the old exhaust, cutting hangers, redoing them, and then extending the tips.

$60... but it was much less work on my BE than you would have on your wagon..

Just had the old exhaust cut above the rear axle, bent the hangers in to match the OE ones, cut the WRX piping to match the stock pipe (length wise) and weld in place. Not much to it on my car...

Okay...I've been quoted 125. But I realized that I know a guy who does work, and he might be able to do it for a lot less plus I know the guy is very car savvy and would do a good job.

Don't go to Midas. The genius I went to actually said "I don't think you need 2.25 piping, the stock one is good enough as is"...brilliant.

Yeah, douches. The guy gave me a lecture about my hi-flow cat and said if they were to do the work, he would be 'required' to add another cat to make it stock again.

I had a 2.5" cat back done at a local Meineke. The first time it was $150 Then after driving around for a month, I had a resonator installed which was another $100.
The work was top notch, but I definately paid alot. And it took me 2 times to get it right!

OE equipment is stainless... and to me there isn't a very big difference in stock pipe and 2.25" just going by eye.
