airbox questions BD v. Impreza 2.5

is the impreza 2.5L airbox the same as the BD 2.5 box?

i'm ditchin' the cone. kill'd torque down low too much.

i'm having trouble finding the stockbox (captain dipshit here threw his away when he installed short ram), so i'm looking on rs25 and nabisco, too.

The later 90s imprezas switched to a similar BE intake.

Any intake from an Impreza that used a MAF intake would work with your BD. ie. 95/6-98.

confused by your answer huff.

i HAVE an intake. but i don't want the cone filter anymore. i am looking to go back to the stock airbox w/ a highflow filter inside. i plan on keeping my new intake piping leading to the airbox, though. sorry if wasn't making that clear.

will the impreza stock airbox fit in my BD? i thikn you are saying yes......but wasn't sure by your response.

btw, anyone have a 2.5RS engine bay pic?

He's saying because the 99 RS got the PhaseII EJ25 with a MAP sensor, it has the same Airbox as the BE/BH Legacy.

Earlier years should treat you fine though.

Well, I'm not sure if it applies to all 99 RS but the one I had was a phase 2 SOHC with a MAF, so it would appear that there was a changeover period of SOHC MAF cars between the DOHC MAF cars and the SOHC MAP cars.
