steering rack bushings help!

checking out some WhiteLine steering rack bushings....

for the 97BD there are 2 sizes listed, 30 & 25mm. Anyone know the correct fitment? Or is it just, biggger bushing = firmer steering.

I hear this is a great, inexensive mod (around $38, shipped)

errr, I think that the bushings that are meant for any pre 2004 subaru will work. The steering rack on your car should be the same as that of an impreza. I don't see where you get 30 & 25mm, as far as I know, there are only sizes for pre 2004 and 2005+ models. Whiteline, Super Pro, Noltec, and Prodrive offer bushings which all do the same thing, though I have read of issues with the Noltecs sometimes not fitting right. Definately worth the cursing and PITA installation :lol:

There are 2 sizes, you have to measure your stock bushings because the 97 could be either. Mine was 30mm IIRC.

+1. Got whitelines in my wagon, would highly reccomend them.

During installation, save yourself some headache by marking and disconnecting the steering shaft.

I found the packet from mine the other day, KSR202 = 30mm
