H6710AC000. Legacy 1997 - 1999 Subaru Dual Power Outlet Socket.

Does anybody have that part, or know where there's a picture of it? The dealer sites I've seen it on don't show a picture. The only thing my local dealer (who doesn't have one in stock) could find was the install info for one for a Forester. What I'm curious about is where it mounts. I thought I saw one before that you removed your ashtray and it installed in there. The one my dealer shows for a Forester mounts in by the e-brake handle, which won't work for me, as that's where my heated seat switches are located.

I think a friend of mine has them in his outback, I'll try and find out for you. I do seem to recall them being in the ashtray location.

yeah mine had it when i first bought it but i took it out and replaced it with the ashtray since i didn't really have a use for 3 outlets. i can look for it if you want it.. probably is in my basement somewhere collecting dust.

Thanks guys. Talked to my dealer today and he had found more info over the weekend to realize it is what I wanted, so for $8 each, I just had him order me two. (One for each car)

Just an update, I got the part today. I'll try and do a write-up/pictures when I actually get the time to install it. I was expecting just the sockets/mounting piece for $8, but it came with the wiring harness and relay, too. Basically, it wires to the battery, with a fused line and a relay. 1 line clamps onto the stock power socket line to power the relay. That way, sockets are powered only with key on, like the OEM setup.

Since I'd rather have constant power, I'm not going to actually use the relay, but I'll use the harness and just put a small jumper wire in the harness connector where the relay would plug in.
