Thanks, I have just had the 'major' tune-up done so the car runs great. Have to get some snow tires on and I will be ready for the mountains

Nothing big just fog lights, cassette for cd player, speakers do not work in the front. owners book
snow tires  You know just all the things that people lose , except the tires, and the dealer wants major $$$$ .
I just sold my 98 legacy wagon, and now this 97 gt goes like a rocket up the hills, a nice change

Thanks AussieDan:
Hope to learn as much as possible about this car, so I can do some of the work myself.
Most of hard work has been done by my mechanic, he knows his subarus. Now the fun begins with some light mods. First thing I need is a good shop book

Don't need a shop book yet, unless I can get a cheap one  .
I would like to get the book that would have been with car when new.

Cheap!?!?.. u didnt get my drift.. i will make it more obvious..
LOOK at my signature. Its the Factory Service Manual download for a 99 LGT.. but its the same as urs.. the BD model =]
Much better than the owners manual.. will tell u how to repair nearly everything! Altho u could prolly find an owners manual on ebay or something tooo.. just for the sake of having one!
Enjoy!
