offset refers to where the inlet or exit tip is located, center means middle.
i think all of their universal mufflers have center exit so, i guess the real question is which side is left or right, meaning which way r u looking at the muffler for it to be on the left or right.
i would send a message to apexi to clear it up with them before u order (unless u know u want center enter and exit)
btw, i have the WS2 catback on my integra and love it, sounds amazing, and im also thinking about picking up a used ws muffler for the legacy.

That's what i was thinking, left or right.
I'll hit them up later.
And how does it sound? loud rumble or a mellow tone?

well for being on a honda, its a about as rumbly as u can get with out being retarded loud, its a pretty quiet muffler, sounds good on throttle, dont hear it off throttle.

World Sports = street tuned = quiet at idle, romp on it and you'll get some stonk.

I heard these were great mufflers! I actually thought about getting one for this car, but i didnt know they made them for the legacy! For honda's and such they are GREAT because they are generally quiet / low sounding and dont sound like a damn tin can! Hmmm, now i might need to look into getting an exhaust just because they make them =] hmmm.. i dont know though, i like my GT stock muffler!!

They don't actually make them for the BD Legacy (at least, not stateside).
An option would be to take a WRX/STi fitment and have it altered.
Or, buy a universal application WS muffler.

I don't need an offset to left or right, just check my muffler.
I need a center one with the tip a little bit lower. But the center should work fine, the muffler should somewhat hang low tho.
Order this muffler off cardomain, its much cheaper and free shipping for the holidays :)

sorry to hijack this thread...but i was wondering for BE's we dont have the muffler cutout...i was wondering how low it will need to hang to put ws muffler? also what about the rest of the muffler out there?!? what are the good muffler tip size to go on the BE's? i might have future plan to lower my suspension about an inch. Thank you.

Every subie muffler I have seen is an offset inlet... Offset by only like 3-5" but definately offset to the passenger side of the car.

+1, anyone have some insight on this?
also, if it's 3 - 5" offset to the passanger side, is that left or right :?:

I dont' think it matters, considering you can invert a muffler that doesn't have piping on it pretty easily.

I would think as long as the distance is correct, it doesn't really matter which way it's offset.

^ but the exhaust tip has a top and bottom.... (atleast the apexi does which is the reason they have 2 versions)
but what your saying is true for "most" center exit mufflers.

Yeah, the apexi looks to have a slant cut tip and is offset up and down.
