I found an Outback Sedan with the 3.0H6 and was curious if anyone has any experience with this car or any info that they could give me to watch for on it. I have heard there are problems with the H6 from these years (EG30?). Its an 03 with 26k on the clock, all leather, exterior is black and gold. I will be stopping to ask the price later. Just looking for feedback on the car. It would make a great winter rat so I can pursue modding the GT more.
thanks,

I hear they leak oil. They also have a timing chain (not a bad thing).
It's the EZ30, btw.
That's about all I know. It's gotta be a decent engine, and with 27k on the clock, it's got a lot of life ahead of it, I'm sure.

It's a good car. Basically an Outback H6 in sedan form.

Those are pretty rare too. Just don't start dropping it and making it look like a regular Legacy

Hah. That's exactly what I'm doing.
I wasn't even aware that there was a 3.0 H6 Sedan! I love my H6. Decent power and rock-solid reliability in my experience. I'm pushing 98,000 miles on mine. The only complaints are that the 4eat transmission is totally gay, and my car weighs to much. I'll be working on both of those issues in the future.

No, that's what the GT is for
Its priced at $17k. I think I am going to go back and see if I can low ball 'em a bit more.

Yeah, I was going to shoot for that. Hell, I bought my GT (MY02) with 51K on the clock about two years ago for $14k

Hmm, that's a little on the highside; 03 Legacies were going for around 11-12k this summer when I bought my car (I got it for much lower though; perseverance paid off). I'd say if they won't go down to 15k, I wouldn't bother.
Don't forget to take pics!

No offence, but this isn't an L sedan. Book value "retail" is around $21k. I don't see them going any where near the 10000 mark, not that I wouldn't like to get it for that
I need to think on it some more, I just found it this morning... I would have to pay off the loan on the GT first anyway. Time to convice the boss I need a raise

Agh, you have a LOAN? Pay that off ASAP!
