ever have your thermostat go on the way to work?!?! UGH!!

i was an hour late today thanks to the car overheating! had to pull over every 5 minutes and shut the car off and let the fan cool it down.....watched my temp. guage rise very FAST and then hurry and pull over...repeat....i would have stopped and blew work off but im in my probation period and really need the cash ...almost needed a new motor!!...LOL
i knew it was the thermosat because it (temp. guage) would rise up and down and i had no heat coming into the cab......chech the fluid (antifeeze) and it was full....i am now on my way outside to change the stat.....

Get your car up to temperature and then crack open the plastic screw on the passenger side of the car at the top of the radiator. Let the air bleed out and as soon as fluid comes out close it off.

Sounds like an airbubble to me.

Did you do any work lately around the cooling system?

thats what it was!
the dealer ship apparantley didnt know how to fill it up all the way and bleed it...
all it cost me was a gallon of antifreeze!
