Well it went down like this. I came up on a stop sign and did the "Rhode Island roll" (which is slow down and look). I didn't speed like an animal. I looked right, looked left and went to go and got hit or the right fender spun my car and hit the rear. I was hit by a damn Honda CR-V. This guy was moving, his POS man handled my precious Legacy like it was...... a Honda. I was ALMOST at a complete start. Honestly it was my fault, maybe 75/25 regardless what's done is done. Thank god nobody was hurt. Oh and I busted his axle, that prick lol.

Seriously now, not sure what is going on. I can't depend on the Q45 because it still needs a lot of work to be put on the road. So I need to find something else for now. I was going to look for maybe a 1st gen Legacy or a 95 Legacy and try to do a build like Gator (maybe buy his engine). This just isn't a good time for this crap to happen, with buying a house and the Holidays.

IF I don't get another 2nd gen Legy I will part it out. You guys will get first dibs on parts, but will be spread out through out most of the Subaru boards. I may keep the engine and a few other parts just incase.

There's 1 less pair of JDM head lights and JDM grill out there :-(

Seriously, I'd be pissed off if people started posting what they wanted straight away. The guy hadnt even mentioned what happened for gods sake.

Let me know if I can help in any way bud, beyond magicking the legacy back to life. I know how rough it is losing one :( Also, if you need help rebuilding another one with an STi motor, I'll fly out for a week ;) . I'm serious, I fly for free.

Damn man, thats some bad shit! At the intersection you crossed, is it hard to see who is coming, or is it a pretty open intersection? That blows either way man. Keep your eyes open for a new car tho, i suggest checking out craigslist as you might find something good on there / affordable. Also if u know anyone with a auction / dealers license, or whatever it is.. ask them if they see any BD's. At least u know you will have lots of vultures for when the decision comes, rather than dying in the desert alone. Hope u can find a good deal on something new.. when i picked up my new car, took me like 2-3 months of looking, but i finally found a good one! Things happen for a reason... maybe your name implies this.

I'm going to see how much more is it going to cost to get the Q45 to be drivable. We changed all the vacuum lines since they were all dry rotted. It needs 4 new tires and a tune up and battery. But I think it needs brakes and axle, I'm not sure.

Sorry to hear about this! At first I thought your cold air intake sucked your entire front end in. Mad power style.

Anyway, if the engine is still salvageable, then maybe you can find an old loyale, GL, or older legacy and drop the motor into one of those. If it went into one of the older subies, it'd be pretty peppy. Hope you can get it all sorted out soon. :-(
