Help with spark plugs?

I am trying to change the spark plugs in my car, and I'm having trouble with the #4 plug. Any hints of tips on getting the plug in and out?

I've got a short extention, a knuckle joint, and a long extention. I've got the plug loose, if not out, but I can't remove the extention/plug because of lack of space.

I dont know where #4 is, but try removing the battery, intake, or windshield washer resevoir (whichever applies)

Uh, by the time I posted that, I had the windshield res removed, the battery out, the entire intake system off, and all of the other plugs out.

The cylinder on the drivers side in the very back was difficult, I got a short extention and a universal joint stuck between the sparkplug and the side of my engine bay. I ended up putting that plug back in slightly, removing the extention, deep socket, and joint, then reversing the joint and the extention, and then getting everything out.

I finished, got the plugs and wires replaced, the washer res is back in, the battery is back in, the intake is back on, and everything is working perfectly. :D

I tried to replace my spark plugs. and couldn't get the wires to come off lol.

Mine came off easy, after I figured out how to pull them right. ;)

On the dual cams, I don't use a u-joint. Just the plug socket, short extension and ratchet. Put socket in hole, attach extension, then ratchet. Loosen plug, remove ratchet, then remove extension, then remove socket/plug.

There isnt enough room between the frame and the cam cover to actually get a socket in there. I got the socket + extention stuck between the plug and the body of the car as it was.

yeah, i added ngk vpower coppers in 2 weeks ago and plug #4 was a sonuvabitch.

i ended up putting my plug socket in and using one of the battery tie down bars to turn the socket. wasn't able to get my ratchet in, either.

remember to check after 100 miles or so to see whether they have loosened up!!!! i forgot to re-tighten them and two came loose while my lady was in busy morning traffic. holy shitty phone call to get. "WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOUR CAR, MIKE!!!!!???? It's bogging down...FUCK!!! DAMNIT! YOU AREN"T WORKING ON YOUR CAR EVER AGAIN!!!"

haha, she's pregnant. overreactions are allowed.

but, jesus christ. i thought i broke my car. i jsut had her pull over into a parking lot and have her mom come pick her up. car was fine after i got off work, checked the motor, and re-tightened the plugs. they were visibly loose....not cool.

Yeah, I'll check them in a few days. I'm going to buy a u joint so I don't have to borrow my neighbor's. He's dang cool about it, though, just lets me into his garage and borrow anything I need as long as I need it.

I've done this once, the next time it'll take me less than 4 hours to do. ;)

So basically what it comes down to is which one is more difficult, dealing with a pregnant woman or changing Subaru spark plugs....

So far, not really, My manager at work got pregnant, but then she went on leave.
