well my drivers side fog finally broke, i noticed a small crack in it when i took the plastic covers off and after plowing through a few snowbanks it completely broke and took the bulb with it.

I asked how much for a new one from Napa and they wanted more than $130 for a whole new assembly. I didnt really want to spend that much money but in my opinion a subaru isnt a subaru without nice, working foglights.
Wondering if there is a cheaper alternative. Ive searched the local scrapyards with no sucess.
Input is greatly appreciated.

took me a minute to find some.. dunno why they wont come up with a normal search. I dont know if that will fit your bumper though. =/

I dont think that one would fit, im not totally sure but i think the O/B bumpers changed in 2000. Plus even if it fits then i would look different from my old one.

I think its slightly smaller than the BG fogs, and it would be different

Thats the only one I could find on ebay. Now could be a good time to upgrade to hellas!

Hella's. And make sure you buy some rockblocker this time:

www.rockblocker.com (http://www.rockblocker.com)

$20 saves you $60-100 later.

www.rallylights.com (http://www.rallylights.com)

No, they wouldn't mount stock, but you can mount them, a lot of outback bumper owners have done so.

Actually, if you get the Hella FF200 lights, according to this post (http://www.subaruoutback.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6182&highlight=ff200) over on SubaruOutback.org, they WILL bolt into the stock locations, only just with 1 bolt instead of two like the factory lights. The poster has a 97, but 96-99 should be the same.

I assume that's the left side (when in the car). I may have one, since I broke one. Are they interchangable side to side?

If I've still got one, it's yours for the price of shipping.
