dome light switch is missing on drivers door

the switch is missing and all that is left is a small brown plug deep in the hole....is that the connector inside the whole to the switch?

Hmm, not sure, maybe a pic would help.

I happen to have a couple spare door switches from an impreza in the garage, I can take a look and see if they would work for ya next week.

Yes, the brown thingy is the connector, you should go to a Junkyard and find the switch and you can plug & play.

Don't waste your time in a junk yard, the door switches are dirt cheap at the dealership. The one in my 97 Outback was toast when I bought the car, a new one was only a couple dollars.
