This is why you need to drop the unit down to the lower DIN, and convert the auto shifter to something lowerprofile.

Or get a manual.

Oh, god, you should have seen my BE, that thing was a horrible mess. Most of the time, it was covered in dirt, dust, and mud, and the inside had paper garbage all over it, courtsey of my friends. The BK stays clean, inside and out.

I like the subs, btw. I like my stock sound system, but I want to add a single 15" sub, no sub box. Maybe some day I'll just hack apart my bass amp and stick the single 15" aluminum driver in the back area, and use it as a sub.

I had that same deck, I miss it (was stolen on Christmas Eve 2 years ago) It was a great deck, I WAS looking at the new decks, but they don't seem as good.

maybe in power, but it depends on your music preference too.

My 15 is from a bass amp, it's only rated for around 200 watts. If I max the volume, I think it does about 220 DB, I've never turned it up more than halfway.

At half volume, this thing can be heard roughly a quarter mile away, through the walls of my house. It also likes to rattle every window in the neighborhood.

The bad thing is, it doesn't have a tweeter, so unless I hooked one up to the head, it would probably blow the driver if I played high-pitched sounds through it at high volumes.

Kicker S15L7 Solo Baric 15" Inch Sub L7

^^ this sub has potential to be cleaner and heavier than 2 12 inch subs

It also has way more surface area than a round 15" sub. Not a good comparison.

My 15" is round, but the way it's shaped... It has more surface area as well. :p
