headed out last nite to drop sum movies off at blockbuster, only to find my front drivers window all over the place thanks to sum asshole that threw a big rock thru tryng to break in. friggin idiots only took about $20 cash that i forgot to get when i got out of the car & left my headunit, sirius radio, system, and pretty much everything else i had in the car. Oh, and they stole a pen too lol (crackheads). luckily i had another drivers side door that i wasnt going to put on till springtime b/c its a diff color, but at least had a window. so i was up until 3am disconeccting the wiring harness from the old door, taking the old door off, cleaning up the glass, and rewiring and putting on the new door, and i had to get up at 6 for work (that was a task and a half this morning). i guess thats the price u pay when u hav a car that looks nice (f*ckin haters lol) i strongly suggest getting an extra set of windows if you live in an area thats overpopulated with trash. so now i have a car with limo tint except for tha drivers door that doesnt even match the color of the rest of the car.

So now I'm thinking about just throwin tha rest of tha body parts i have (GT wing, JDM front bumper, sideskirts) and going w/ the big ricer look - primer black, until i can afford a new paint job (hopefully late this spring)

Any opinions? primer black, or viva la mexico 2tone?

Man, i hate crack heads. They prolly got their $20 fix at the expense of your time and window. Why dont you just take the window out of the other door and put it in your old door? That way you dont need to get the whole car re-painted. Either that, or I'd rock the mexican 2 tone..or.. you could maybe find someone to paint just the door for cheap.. for now. But why cant you just take the glass out?

You may want to leave the front windows untinted for two reasons.

1) Let the criminals look through the window and hide your stuff. There is less chance of them braking in if they see theres nothing inside. Tinted windows usually mean you have something expensive inside you don't want people to see.

2) The tint film in the windows keeps the glass from shattering to pieces making it easer and quieter to brake in.

O and get an alarm system, it helps.

That sucks, but you know what really would have sucked? If they smashed your window and the door was unlocked.

Insurance doesn't cover this? I mean, it might take an extra day to get the glass guy out there, but you shouldn't have to cover vandalism at your own expnense.

i have a house in PA, but im on probation in DE, so i'm stuck here a little longer & being laid off definitely doesnt help my chances of moving.

i guess i could have just replaced the windows, but the window motor on my door was runnin slow, so it was probably on its way out any ways. plus that door was pretty dented up and parts of the door moulding broke off and the door would be replaced this spring any ways. although i can gladly say that even though the diff color door looks shitty, my legacy still looks sexy lol. maybe i'll be able to find sumone to paint it for cheap, but the cars getting a new paintjob this spring anyways, so in a way itd kinda be a waste of $

i know tint is stupid and gives people more reason to break in, but its a luxury i cant live without. i've always had cars that kinda stand out and i HATE when people stare, so annoying. so i guess im just asking for it...

I'm definitely getting an alarm system(might wire sum explosives to it too hehe), but my headunit has a flashing light when u take the faceplate off, so its always lookd like i have an alarm, guess it wasnt good enough...

ya, i think i would have gone on a killing spree if my door was unlockd and they did that, i'd almost rather just leave it unlockd and have a sign that says "just take wut u want, but dont hurt my legacy..." lol

Well hopefully no one else messes with your car in the future. When someone tried to steal my accord 2 nights in a row, i knew they would be back.. so i planned a nasty little trap for them. Not only did i wait out all night wish a hammer and ski mask, but i also took syringe ends and taped them under the door handle on the car. Well the next day i found a little blood smeared on my car, and apparently someone had a fun time that night trying to break in. They never tried to break in again though, even though they did steal my system, and fucked my ignition up.. i got those bastards! :lol:

got my alarm system installed today, first i bought one thinking i'd be able to do it myself, those things are f*ckin complex lol, way too many wires. so i ended up getting a better one installed. if this doesnt work, im goin to plan B:

get another beretta, a bunch of no-doz, and im campin outside in a bush by my car and leave a few hundred cash sitting on the dash lol. NO ONE TOUCHES MY LEGACY hahah....(yes, very dumb, but at least i'll catch those bastards)

all my inside lights are blue: headunit, sirius radio, dome lights, capacitor for my amp, and lights on the door. so they put a blue led for tha alarm w/o me even asking (dats a nice) If you're in my area, and have a sound of tri-state near u, i def recommend them. they even gave me a NICE discount b/c i explained to them what happend the night b4 to my car, and how im getting laid off tomorrow. Cool ass people.

oh, and i saw an accident while i was waiting for the install, very funny lol...I feel bad for the people in the accident, but no one was hurt, so i'm allowed to laugh b/c it wasnt me rite?
