View Full Version : rear suspension removal on BD5

alright heres the deal... i bought some tein HA coilovers for the car and i have the fronts on, but i didnt have time to install the rears and im planning to do those tomorrow... i just took a quick look and it looks like i will have to remove the rear seat to access the top mounting nuts... can anyone confirm this and if so could you guys help me out with some instructions on how to remove it? thanks a lot pics will be up in the next few days

Seats are pretty easy to remove. Theres two bolts in the footwells that will let you remove the bottom section. Then theres three bolts underneath that that hold on the rear section. Lift that upwards and it should come out. Its a bit tricky to get it back on though

I only used the two outer bolts on top when putting the seat back in - the middle one was tough to thread in, even with the socket extension.

Ive been wanting to know how to take the rear seat out.. where are the bolts located? Footwell? What is that? :?:

footwell would be where you put your feet if you're sitting in the backseat.
