Second Din pocket?

When i bought my car there was an aftermarket cd player in the first din replacing the factory tape player, but there is still the factory cd player in the second din, just not hooked up. i see people with pockets in place of the second or first din, where can i get one of those?

You might be able to get it from Best Buy or Circuit City, since they do installs in cars with OEM double DIN radios and instal single DIN CD players they fill the extra spot with a DIN pocket.

Personally, I just got a piece of sheet metal, bent it to shape to make a plate to fill the hole, and drilled it and mounted an extra 12V socket in my old Impreza.

If you click on "Parts" in the middle of the homepage there is a form to fill out so you can tell them exactly what you want. They usually answer pretty fast.

There are two types of DIN pockets... with and without door.

There's also one with a silver door that was made for the Forester/WRX (part #66128SA040): http://secure.cartsvr.net/catalogs/catalog.asp?prodid=2161648&showprevnext=1

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the part# for the regular DIN pocket without the door is #66128AE000.

The ones with doors may require modification to fit, so research before you buy.
