The guy thinks it is in the tranny but he doesn't really know.

Well, currently, my car makes a

'NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRNNNNNNNNNNNNTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!' at startup, which is actually the bendix bolt failing to retract into the starter, and occasionally, it'll hang out on the TC just a tad, to the point where I can feel it rob my power. That could be a possibility.. it makes a fair enough noise that it would alarm the unknowing..

way to instigate Mark.

yes, owning Subarus is a sickness, one that I was stricken with once I bought my Legacy in 2003. This was supposed to be a stepping stone from my Jeep Cherokee (which really needed to GO!) until Mitsubishi brought over RalliArt editions of the EVO to compete with the STi......seeing as if that never happened, I started to take a liking to the Legacy and can't see myself going for the 3-pointed star ever.

sickness? yes.
curable? no.

I did it again last night. I bought yet another Subaru. This one is a 96 AWD Impreza 2dr. Has almost 200K on the clock but I only paid $700 for it. I will be taking delivery of it within the next few days.

I will post pics when I get them.

I still haven't picked up my 93 in AL or bought the 93 turbo localy. I do think I scored us a new member though. He has a sweet WRX.

If you get a jobby job you too can buy lots of Subarus. LOL. I'll sell it to you when I am done with it.

For some reason the owner took off all the side moldings......weird.

The side moldings are a different color...maybe he didn't want the 2 tone effect.

The impreza guy backed out stating that he was drunk when he quoted me the price. He will be sorry.....

The 93 finally came at 3:00am. The noise is bad wheel bearings. Good thing I didn't try to drive it from AL to FL.

Dual legacy pics coming soon.

Well I got the new legacy sedan this morning. Parked it in the driveway and went to bed. Came out this morning to a puddle of trany fluid in the driveway.
I proceed to jack the car up and put it on stands so I can start her up and put it in drive to try and find the noise. Guess what....my tranny is shot. It's internal and it doesn't sound good.

I have an idea...check the drivetrain threads.
