Good question.. those rims aren't going to be clear for long cause all the brake dust will accumlate on the back side and to clean it, imagine removing the wheel everytime.. what a pain in the ass!

Lexan rims - so I guess if you are involved in a drive-by you can always jump out of the car, crawl underneath it, and huddle behind one of the rims.

These were at sema, one of my buddies had a lengthy conversation with these guys about them. They will be releasing versions with vents around the edges, as well as some kind of corkscrew design on the inside of the rim to move air out of the wheel and over the brakes. However, they do reccomend a brake upgrade to help deal with the extra heat.

Oh, and as for their durability, the guys drove all 6 demo cars from new york to vegas for the show.

Not my style no, but they have definitely done their research, it's all legit.
