So sometimes I get asked why I put stickers on my car. Well, the way I see it, is my car stands out. If somebody likes my car, I'd like them to see the websites I visit and get advice/ feedback from and perhaps encourage them to join these sites and become a more active member of the Subaru community. Today, I got to see this concept in practice. While walking out of the Barnes and Noble, I noticed an older looking guy checking out my car and reading the stickers on the rear quarter window. I didn't approach him (though I now regret not doing so). He took out a pen and pad and apparently wrote down a few of the stickers. I have Subiesport, SL-I, SubaruOutback.org, Wagon Mafia, and ScoobyMods stickers. I then watched as he returned to his H6 Outback that was basically identical to mine and drove off. Anyway, I thought this was interesting. One of the quirks of owning a fairly unique car, I suppose.

I haven't had anyone spec out my car that I've seen...I just have the SLi decal and the wagon mafia one.

A few days ago I was sitting in the car waiting for someone. I saw two guys talking on cell phones walking down the street and stop infront of my car. Then they proceeded to the back to read the badges. Its the gold wheels that attract them like flies.
But now the problem is if I debage should I replace it with an SL-I sticker so they can come here and ask me what it is?

Why not? I wouldn't mind if people approached me about my car.

Back in NZ, I had only one decal on the car - www.clubsub.org.nz (http://www.clubsub.org.nz)
Everything else was debadged, save for the SUBARU on the hatch.
Best compliment I ever got was after having slogged through 500km of backroads, the white wagon covered in bugs, mud, dust, I pull into a surf beach overlook. This little kid comes running past my car, stops, turns around as I'm getting out to stretch, and says "Cool car Mr!" waves and runs off.

me: it's a legacy
them: a what..?
me: a subaru
them: oh.. I heard those are good cars
