My boss has a 2001 Legacy sedan with 30K original miles on it and he is looking to sell it.

Whats it worth???

I'm 99.9% sure that they made all trims of the the BE/BH's with EJ25's, which is why the GT was no longer called the 2.5GT. Either way, Kelly Blue book rates the car for $11,300 (realize not knowing all the options he may have on it may lower the price a little, I just left it with all the standard features checked). I'd tell him to list it for either at or just below bluebook value, so if a buyer happens to look it up and see he's selling it for book or less than book it will seem more appealing. Anyone here want a 2001 L?

If I had the money, I would....Although I'm quite content with my 2.2 Outback right now :D I LOVE custom work. I did some more today, lol. I've caught the modding bug.

Yes, Ryan, they stopped making the 2.2L after 2nd gen was out. I'm pretty positive of that too.

That's an affirmative ghostrider. 3rd gen did away with the EJ22 and also the EJ25 went to a SOHC setup. More reliable and more hp. Only problem is that they weigh more.

I don't know about the more HP but I do know they have a bit more torque. I saw a dyno printout on nasioc from a SOHC and a DOHC, the SOHC may have more power and torque in the low end but once they hit 5 grand the power drops off...the DOHC kept its power climbing all the way up to the red.

Either way someone should jump on it, I would assume that his boss never beat on it and took pretty decent care of it, so it would be a worthwhile investment.
