Another LGT owner here

Ive used this message board for the past few weeks to do a little heads-up research on the BD LGT's. Im a Honda technician and decided it was time for something different. Ill be picking up my 98 LGT on Wednesday. Hopefully I can contribute to the board. Once I clean her up Ill snap a few pics.

Thanks for the welcome. I was lucky in that the headgasket issue has already been taken care off. The car came with lojack, keyless and nearly all the service history from the Subaru dealer. Hopefully on Monday I will get around to buffing out the dead paint and cleaning it up a bit. Ill snap some pics then.

My plans are to do a slight susp and OEM Subaru wheel upgrade and maybe an SPT axle-back exhaust.

Haha, I can't tell from your signature that you're a honda head at all. :lol: Welcome to subaru! You'll fall in love with the burble real quick. The difference between a tuned honda sound a tuned subaru sound is vast but pleasant.

Swaybars, steering rack bushings, and maybe springs/dampers if you want a drop should be getting that car where you want it.

Hondas are a little more wallet friendly than Subarus are. All my aftermarket mods and new OEM parts cost the same as my exhaust did on my Legacy. That being said, I guess it is easy to get sucked into buying more since it cost less...nevermind :grin:

Hondas are great cars but the problem with the "scene", if thats what you want to call it, is all the bad seeds. Its ashame that most ppl hate the brand based on the worst example of a REAL enthusiast. Ill never sell my 91 Si hatch but its been given a well deserved break. It sees track days and auto-x's and a spirited drive every now and again.

Thanks again for the warm welcome! Im looking forward to lightly modding the Suby!
