Hey, Guess its about time I posted over here.
My name is Dan, and I own a Legacy. :cool:
I bought my wife a 96 OBS 6 months ago and was very impressed with the handling power and ease of repairs to the car. But she was stepping up from a 1.5l protege :-?
We are expecting our first child in June and I needed a 4 door to drive around with. My daily was the Talon. I was planning on driving the GVR4 (sweet grocery getter) but with 230,000 on the clock it just needs more love than I can give right now.
So I began hunting for a 2.5RS, but those things are like friggin gold up here. 8-9k for a 10 year old car is nuts.
So I decided on a more resonable LGT. I saw this one on craigslist that was "overheating" I met the guy bought the car on the spot and had it AAA'd home. I bled the cooling system a couple of times. But still cannot tell if it is the HG's but I will get on that this week. 125k miles.. so Probably.
It was in a hood cruncher and has a wonderfully dented silver hood and bumper on a fire red GT. Also a new rad.
He did the repairs himself, and clearly not very good at it. So I have a new radiator support waiting to go in to straighten everything out.
I have a Strong DSM background so I hope I can share a lot of knowledge, and learn as much as possible about the bassackardsly built subarus.
