sti intake manifold

I have yet another question: I just got a 05 STi WRX intake manifold for dirt cheap. If I put it on my legacy will there be any difference at all except for the fact that it is red? Better air flow? Something? Thanks

Without knowing anything about it, you could measure the length of the intake runners and see if they are any different from the ones on your car now. A shorter runner is generally good for top end power.

If you do that, you'll need to get new injectors (topfed vs. sidefed). Also, they use a coil-plug design, so they don't have a space to mount your coilpack like the older cars.

Too much trouble for what it's worth IMO, but you're more than welcome to try.

Might be cool if you could get it to work. I would also look in parallel fuel rail mod. They have a write up on scooby mods. I wanted to do it but never got around to it.

The last couple on ebay went for a little over $200 (except the one I bought). If anyone wants it in this price range please pm me. Someone else is also selling one on naisco for $250.
