I was just looking for some input on the set up that I was thinking of running this summer. The current suspension set up is......

Whiteline: Front 20mm sway bar with polly bushings, Rear 18-22mm sway bar with polly bushings, Front strut tower bar, Rear heavy duty sway bar mounts.

What I would like to add is......(and currently have from previous BC)
STi: Front strut top hats, Rear lower control arms with new bushings.

What I would like to add to this would be......
STi: Rear strut top hats.
Whiteline / Cusco: Rear strut tower bar.
KYB: GR-2 struts.

This would all be running on 205/45/17 Yoko Prada Spec 2's.

Any inputs?..........

If you're doing all that, you might as well ditch the GR-2s. they're only a slight improvement over OEM.

The AGX is probably more what you're after?

I was going to use the GR-2's because the AGX will not work on my car. If I am wrong let me know which AGX to get. I know a lot of BC/GC stuff works on the BD/BG/BK. Thanks for the responce. Any other tips are welcome!

The AGX will work with Impreza springs & tophats
(AFAIK)

Roger is right, there are several Legacy owners with AGXs.

Indeed. Just use GD impreza tophats

Another one voting for if you are switching out top hats anyway, go to AGX's. The rear strut tower bar is supposed to be a good investment on the wagons. It supposedly stiffens up the chassis quite nicely.

What is the difference in spring rate between the BK wagon springs, and the GD wagon springs? :-? I don't really want to go with less spring rate. For that matter, does anyone know what the spring rates are on the Whiteline "Mild" springs (25-40mm drop)? Thanks again for the help!

I would guess that the GD aftermarket springs would be A LOT stiffer than the BK stockers. They're similar in weight (don't let size fool you, Imprezas are piggies too) to your BK.

just be aware that OEM GD/GG springs lower our cars quite a bit, getting springs designed to lower a GD/GG might be asking for trouble.

the OEM '04 STi springs that i'm running dumped my car right on top of the tires, i have very little clearance in the rears (had to roll the fenders actually, cause they were cutting up my tires pretty bad), and it's not much better up front.

Ok, I would like to swap to the Impreza AGX's. What springs would work, and what are people running now. I would rather not run with a massive drop (I know some people mentioned that the GD springs would drop the BK a lot).

So.......
What aftermarket springs would be best, and what do you guys have out there? Also, is there any other modification needed to make a GD Spring/Perch/AGX/Top Hat combination work? Last, what year combo should I look for? I know that the '98-'99 legacy's were a little different from the rest. Thanks again.
