Ok, Dumb to ask but I got to ask it.
Will it hurt my center diff. if I put a 1.5way LSD in the front and a 2way LSD in the rear?
It would seem to put stress on the center, but will it be bad?

I don't think it will put extra stress on the center diff - if anything the increase in traction will reduce speed differentials between the front and rear...

I'm thinking of swapping the BE6 LSD into my BK4 if I part it out.

BE6 is 4.11, but I am actually not sure if the 5MT BK4 is also. Anyone know, and is there an authoritative source for this info?

FWIW, the BE6 with Blizzaks or Ice Bears and an LSD the past two winters was an absolute marvel.

FSM says 3.9 for the BK4.

OK, thanks. Guess I'll verify that by actually looking at it when I get a chance. Makes it a bit more difficult to get an LSD, but there are still some Turbo Legacy units floating around.

I want to get a whole rear diff and put in a rear LSD but not that weak ass Subaru one.. I think my 96 5MT is 4.11 as well.

I had a 98 forester L that had no LSD and I traded that in for a 03 that did have it (both 4EAT) the 03 was much better.

I'm sure ebay has something listed.. I know Im not spending $1000 for it
