Hey I am brand new to this site but have always looked at the forums for info. You are all great! I have a 2000 Legacy Gt limited BE. I am looking to get new wheels in spring and was wondering what your opinions where on different rims? I am pretty set on rotas but which one im not sure. Stock suspension. Any input is awesome thanks!!!!

17s will probably be a good bet for you...they'd allow a decent amount of tire (which is good if you're just streeting the car) and look nice as well.

Rotas are excellent Subaru rims.

Keep in mind that you'll want an offset from about 48-55 and a 5x100 bolt pattern.

Yea I was leaning toward maybe some torques or boosts but I was afraid the 17's might not fill the wheel well to good. How wide can I fit with a 17? 7.5 or 8? Thanks So Much

17s will be fine on your BE.

17's are perfect for BE's IMO. But then again I like the balance between looks, performance, ride, and toughness that an 18" wheel usually gives up.

Yea... At first I was really leaning towards 18's but am afraid that I will be rubbing quite abit with a stock gt limited supsension. But I just cant decide :-?

You'll be fine with 18's. Just keep the tire width around 215-225. The older cars suffer more from the problem of rubbing with wider tires than the BE's.

You can fit up to a 245 tire in there with the right offset.

Take some pics of your car and put them in the member introduction section. People can photochop different wheels and colors on there for you.

Those look good those are what im leaning toward. But im not planning on lowering my car so do you think the 18x8's would fit with no rubbing issue??

Will SPEEDLINE CORSE 17" 5x100 45 offset fit my car? I have a BE as well. Should I get 215 or 225 for rubber?

Wiscon_Mark
02-04-2007, 11:06 PM
You'd probably want a higher offset than 45. 48 is usually a minimum that is reccomended.

rougeben83

45 should fit fine, pair it up with 215 tires.

The seller is currently having a GC8 with STI caliper from the older gen and he told me they work fine for his car. But i just want to double check to make sure i wont rub the fender

I'm running 18x8 and I'm lowered with no rubbing so yes, you'd be fine.

not sure how the gold would look on that red? :puke:

Wiscon_Mark

not sure how the gold would look on that red? :puke:

So you puke?

I think that both wheels would be a bit too aggressive for the spoiler-less BE with non-colormatched trim.

subaru_terrence

then I guess I should just stick with some silver rims but dont know which one yet or I am thinking to get the new LGT 5 spokes rims.
Unless someone will tell me the OZ will look good on my car hahaha

Suby00GT

I just dont think that your color is a good choice for gold rims. Sorry. I would stick with silver. My car is gold and isnt good with different colors, but silver always looks good!
