has anybody ever installed heli-coils before. if so tell me about it or maybe what kind of prices are ou there to have one installed. i got an exhaust manifold stud that's stripped out so now my car sounds kinda like a harley since the left side is sputerin at the head and my gas mileage sucks bad. if anyone has experience with these let me know.

Really friggin easy.
Drill out the hole with the tap specified by the kit
Tap the hole with the tap in the kit
insert the helicoil from the kit
break of the tab with the cutter in the kit
New threads are better than new, as they are steel (stainless maybe)
If you are paying to have it done It will proabably cost you an hour in labor.
If you do it yourself the kit will cost you 30 if autozone/partsamerica has the size.
If you need to get the kit at NAPA expect to pay 70 just for the kit.

Make sure you get the right size drill bit as these don't come in the kits.
