Auto to 5 spd????

What excalty is envolve swapping my auto tranny to a 5 speed in my 99 Ej22 Legacy? Trading cars is not an option. Thanks

new transmission, probably driveshaft, rear diff, pedal box, clutch system, TCU, associated wiring.

Trading cars should always be an option. ;)

I paid $40.50 for the car a month ago, only thing wrong with it was someone had hit something with the front end. A new fender and some wet sanding on the bumper fixed that. The car also has 155,000 miles on it and around here it is hard to find anyone willing to give up an AWD car.

AT-> MT swap is not very difficult if approached from the correct perspective. The trick is to cut out all the AT stuff and re-wire the harness as if it was a MT version. PM me if you are serious about it and I'll walk you through it.

I wouldn't pull everything out...xcntrk couldn't figure out the ABS error, so he plugged the TCU back in and the ABS worked fine.

My ABS, cruise, and everything else work fine and I even had the pleasure of tossing the TCU :grin:
