I went to look at a 93 SS, in the pic it looked great. The guy said there was no rust that he can tell. This car was a POS, it was horrible. He wanted $2600 for it, I wouldnt give him more than $800 for it tops.

Yea so this car had rust on all the wheel wells, under some of the doors and front fenders. It had 2 dents on the passenger front fender, heat shields rattle like a skeleton having a seizure on a tin roof. Car was FLITHY inside and out, it smelled like cigarettes really bad. CEL was on, coolant reservoir was over flowing (temp gauge was reading normal). Condensation on the inside of all the windows and trunk lid. The guy claimed he just moved it. The rear brakes were grinding like...well like it had no brake pads. Braking was poor but the guy claimed the brakes were fine lol. The car itself from a distant didn't look bad. Driving it was an experience. It was a 93 legacy SS, and I figured it would have a little balls. Nope, my GT was more fun to drive than this. My damn CRX was quicker than this thing. I think the only thing going for this car was the turbo spool and blow off sound. I think I'm just going to get another GT since I was not impressed at all.

Dude, that car was obviously beat up - I bet the turbo was farked if it felt soulless. It should've had a nice torque curve after 2800 all the way to redline and been more ballsey than your GT.

Don't judge the SS by that POS.

It was so horrible, Think about it. Your first time getting laid and it was a bust (not literally) can wait to hit skins again? Probably not, until you see another hottie to catch your eye.

What I'm saying is I'm not going to bust my balls finding one like I was doing. I'm going to start looking into other car makes to and not just Subarus.

hmm..sucks you wasted your time man.. i wouldnt have told you if i knew the thing was in that bad condition. As i said.. when i drove it.. it seemed fine.. the guy must have really fucked it up in the 6 months after.

Yea.. took me 3 months to find my car after i sold one.. but i found it in the exact color / trim / model i wanted.. it was just a hell of a search. If you need something to drive around right away.. you should just pick up a beater honda or something. Keep checking craigslist, cars.com (where i found mine.. then emailed the guy), ebaymotors, etc.. etc. I found mine by accident too. I was all tired, about to go to sleep, and opened 'one last Legacy GT page.. thinking it wouldnt be what i wanted.. and BAM it was EXACLTY what i wanted!

I started thinking the same way when i couldnt find a car.. at least look at it this way.. the more time you have, the chances of finding a car will become better, and your funds will be increasing as well.

if i had cash and could pick from a couple mediocre subarus or a nicer shape first gen S10, i'd do it, i can think of a couple other cars too.

Theres only so many Subarus I can look at. I looked into SVX's and some Imprezas. I decided to get something else and maybe get another Legacy in Fall maybe.

Check that, the car that I MIGHT get is in the shop getting looked over. I should hear something next week.
