Has anyone used these tires on their Legacy? There are few reviews out there on this tire (on TireRack). I would be using it as a summer street tire, even though it is a competition compound. I have 195/60/R15 and would have to plus size to 205/60/R15. People seem to find the tire stable at highway speeds even in the rain. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

On a 15" rim?? I woudln't waste my money on these tires on a 15" rim. 16 or 17" would be better.

16" rim would be good. I wouldn't do it on a 15" rim though.

You'll only get 1 summer out of them, if that, (thank you 60 tread wear rating) but yeah sure whatever floats your boat.

Those are a step up from Azenis, let's just put it that way. I didn't read it fully but those look like DOT legal R-compounds.

I think the JDM EVO9 RS are available with those as a factory option.

060?

There are better street tires, though if you wanted to do AutoX, I'd say "yes" in a heartbeat.

imho you can do a lot better for your money.

First up, get yourself a set of 16x7 RS 5-spoke rims, they're cheap and light (16.5lbs). Not only will they look better than 15s, they will actually clear the brakes you need to take advantage of tires like those (WRX front H6 rear minimum).

After that, think seriously about the use you'll get out of those tires. They are designed for autox and other racing use that requires DOT approval. Using them on the street you will not only wear the tread super-quick due to the low treadwear rating but you'll never heat them up enough to take advantage of the grip they provide under any normal conditions.

If you do a lot of track days or primarily use the car for autox go for it, but otherwise I'd recommend a more street-oriented tire. Under normal driving conditions you'll never use up the grip they provide and they'll last a lot longer. I'd recommend Hankook RS2-Z212 in a 205/55R16 size (the standard size for Imprezas and Legacy GTs). If you really want to keep the same rolling diameter you could do a 205/50R16.

The money you save over the first set of AO48s will easily pay for the 16" rims, and by the time you would have worn them out you'll still have at least 50% tread left on the Hankooks, so you can use the money you would have spent on your second set of AO48s to upgrade your brakes :)
