View Full Version : 2.2L Legacy plug gap and torque spec?
Hey Guys,
Need to change my plugs but don't have a service manual.. can you tell me whats the correct gap range for the plugs and also what the correct torque spec is?

if you get the ngk iridiums, they come with the proper gap already...but they cost $12 US per plug.

I'll probably go with the coppers
C"mon, someone must know the toruqe spec?

I can tell when they are on all the way, you can feel the metal washer on the plug scrunch a little bit, right as it snugs up.

:twisted: I have the service manual with me and it doesnt say what the torque specs are. Its says to put anti-seize compound on to the spark plug treads though. "Good-n-snug" is what I do too. The spark plug gap should be around 0.039 to 0.043 of an inch. :twisted:
