I like the wheels! Anyway I think it looks good, but whats interesting is that they are changing the suspension over to BE/Bh style multi link (according to the second link provided). Considering the legacy chassis has had little update in 15 years, do you think they are finally making a serious change to the chassis? The spy shot did include a right hand side exhaust pipe, which is only seen on the WRC edition of the WRX.

If it is truly a hatchback, I hope the STi come's with a whale tail instead of what's pictured. :twisted:

hmm, the rear end doesnt look TOO bad.. at least it doesnt have the ugly current subaru face on it.. and it doesnt look like the same old smashed ass impreza look. I dunno, its half and half i suppose. If someone gave me one i certainly wouldnt complain!

That was my point. But moreover, the technology in the car is quite old, and the update could unleash a whole new beast.

I have to say I absolutely LOVE the look of that car (except the wing). The tail lights look like BMW lights, and the front looks a little fat (but maybe they'll slim it out). Sign me up for one please!

As for styling - you've gotta realize that every car company has analysts constantly polling people on concepts and looks - it's not all that odd that many of them come to similar conclusions - it's not necessarily copying.

Granted, Suzuki copies Subaru really horribly - there's some similarities that you can't just call coincidence :lol:

I didn't like the bugeye - never will - but I eventually came around to the blobeye, and thus far I am liking the peanut.

However, Subaru really does need to make some kind of dramatic change either in the area of MPG - especially with the non-STi models. AWD isn't a valid selling point anymore, especially considering Acura now has a variable turbo (RDX) + semi-AWD system that is better than Subaru's 50/50 mechanical system.

People (consumers, not enthusiasts) are getting tired of rehashed faces.

I never got into the bug eye either, dont think i ever will either but the one after that isnt bad at all.

New impreza might grow on us but for now...... its 2 short, i hate short cars :P
