As some of you may be aware, my legacy sustained significant front end damage about a week ago. The front bumper and hood had to be replaced. So I followed the tuner's modo of "If something needs changing, upgrade it".

Thanks for all the positive comments  ...I guess now more people will be wanting to get one.

Why no Outback bumper?

Because I have a theme going.

Get the engine that goes with the hood scoop?

Yep. Now would be an appropriate time for an engine swap. Looking good bud!

Thanks for the encouragement but I only have 39500 miles on this engine, someone else will have to be the BE engine swap pioneer.

So how much did it cost to get the hood painted and such? I was possibly considering using the baja hood, but the shops out here in Detroit quoted me $500-800  .

I know NYC better, so it may be cheaper to do it there...

It should only run you about $500. All you need is the hood (~$390) and the scoop insert (~$115). If you want all the intercooler plating and ducting, then its $800 total.

Hope that helps,

That quote was just for paint...I had to lug the hood to them.

....ok I'll tell you what I paid in total. Hood+scoop was $340 to buy and $200-$250 to paint.

Who painted it for you.. a friend? Or did you actually take it to a shop? I wish i knew some people around here, cause i want to re-spray my front bumper and stuff.. but i know they are gonna try to charge me an arm and a leg.

It was a shop. I was shopping around by referel for the best price and one shop gave me the lowest price and showed me some custom painted motorcycle helmits with images they did along with a salvaged and repainted car they did. So I went with it and was pleasently surprised.
