weisco pistons, eagle rods. pretty much all u need to beat the crap outa a eg22t. and just make sure everything is balanced well. better flowing heads wouldnt hurt either, but arnt nessicary.

there is no point in sleeving a ej22t, thats the point of using that block.

Yeah, the EJ22t is a closed deck block - no need for a sleeve kit. It also has fully forged internals excepting the pistons. I've heard of people running 30psi on the stock block before (intercooled of course). Granted, if you wanted to run that much, you'd probably want forged pistons.

But you'd need to put a lot of work into the car before you got that far.

Your limitation right now is definitely not the block. Going with higher flowing heads (wrx heads are pretty easy to get ahold of), larger turbo, intercooler, etc will give you the most results.

You can use STi heads. I'm unsure as to crank and rods, but you might as well just get aftermarket rods. To be honest, as a daily driver, with those mods alone you'll have a really solid bottom end; I doubt the block would be the thing that fails at that point.

I'm thinking he's building a 1st gen.

As for ECUs, you're kind of limited. I'd personally recommend a PerfectPower unit, you can get them from RalliTek (www.rallitek.com (http://www.rallitek.com)). You could also go standalone, such as AEM.
