View Full Version : Compass/Temp Mirror acting stupid..

My BE GT Limited has the AutoDimming rearview mirror with the Compass and Thermometer.

My Thermometer stopped working. The Compass works, but where the temp is supposed to be, it says "SC".

Help? I found that thing pretty useful.

I know this is going to sound ridiculous, but on my (future) father in law's Astro van, his mirror was doing the same thing.

I pulled the battery one day to replace it, and it's been good since the battery was reconnected.

On my friends Gran Pix it screws up all the time. In his manual it says to drive in circles to recalibrate it. :lol:

To recalibrate the one in my dad's Tacoma, I used to do donuts and it'd fix it.

But my issue isnt hte compass, its the thermometer.

where is the thermometer located? the actual sensor... anyone know? maybe its placement has shifted and its picking up engine heat?

It used to do that on our old 88 plymouth...dunno why, really.
