E-Brake Light is on?

My e-brake light is on for some unapperent reason when the e-brake is down and im driving. It goes off for a second when I come to a complete stop, but then pops back on when I shift into 1st or 2nd. I checked the easy stuff to see, like under the center console to see if the e-brake wire was worn anywhere and topped off the brake fluid, but nothing. Any ideas? Maybe a brake bleed?

Have you checked your brake fluid level? The red brake light also comes on when the fluid is low.

Thanks for the comment. I just went out and looked and its a little above the min mark. Perhaps this is what it is. I will go out and buy some tomorrow and see if this fixes it. Thanks again.
