Exactly WHAT is different about the GR2's that are made for an Impreza vs Legacy vs Forester ? Seeing as you can run WRX suspenion on a Legacy (97 in my case) while using 02 WRX tophats, what specifcally about the GR2 is different ? Or, do they just give them unique part #'s to sell more stock ?

Englilsh please, I don't understand those words yet  What does valving refer to ? And what does the spring seat position refer to ?
The reason I ask is that I want to know if GR2's made for a 97 Legacy could be used on say an 01 Forester or even an 02 WRX.

they may raise or lower the car and the damping is not matched to the spring or vehicle weight.
we don't know exactly what will happen though.

For me, i've got a '95 sedan, with 02 WRX GR-2 struts and stock 02 WRX springs.:
Lowered rear, 3/4" or so.
RAISED front an inch or so.
Better ride, and handling, but looks a little goofy with the front raised slightly, the car doesn't have the raised back/lower front look that it had stock.
