I bought a new amp the other day, i installed it then i started to hear a engine whine in the speakers....when the A/c is on it got worst, i spent the whole of last week troubleshooting the problem and i found 2 solutions besides the one you hear 24/7 about the rca wires and running the speaker wires far apart from the power wires and grounding, even though those play a factor most of the time the engine whine is basically the ground loop in your deck has a short. i found that out because when i hooked my ipod through my system (not through the deck) i didnt hear no whine so yesterday an idea hit me, i bought a hi/low Impedance adapter and use that as my rca source and guess what

NO MORE WHINE :D i don't even get the sub woofer thump when i turn of my car.

If you don't know what a hi/low Impedance adapter is, it converts high level speaker output to RCA Line Level.
