So, I come here for an answer of course, I've been having this problem, "thinking" I have to much time to think here in Iraq, and maybe that's just the problem... Anyways;
I have my wife's 99' GT LTD, very nice a few mods already, but now what? do I want to try and mod this vehicle for speed, Shows, or just update and upgrade? You see my wife has no real opinion on this issue which is no help to me and the way I see it is as follows....
The 2.5 motor with 130,*** + miles on it isn't really what I would consider a modifiable motor, unless I just add intake,upgraded internals,and some other bolt ons. with the automatic the only thing this car would run is ah automatic civic, even highly modified.... I could go for the whole car show thing, but I just think it's too old for that personally...ahhhh So honestly I'm here for suggestions, someone help!! what would you do?

i love the BD so i say throw your whole retirement into it.....

honestly, though, decide how long you'll want to have it around before you want something with more modern styling and features, etc. i'm not a huge fan of show cars, but a little show with yer go is a good idea if you don't want to get too tired of the same body styling.

the power options and costs are a plenty, so just decide on a budget or performance goal and roll w/it. ask anyone here about specifics, we love to live vicariously through others' subies. :grin:

for me, i'm totally in love the the BD's styling. the only other car i want is a new G35 which is still years and years away. so spending $12000 (not there yet, but my overall budget, lol) on my BD to get a good looking, great performing vehicle makes great sense. even when i do get a better paying job, etc, i plan on keeping the Legacy....gots a place in me heart, it does.

oh yeah...i'm not sure if the Leg is a bad show car per se....there just isn't a lot of products available to make it show car-able. but you can still make it look awesome....look at xcntrk's BD...beautiful and smoooooth AND FAST!!!

I wouldnt worry about show really.. maybe just a faster engine / 5spd swap... it will give the car a whole new meaning. not sure how much you want to dump into it though.. i mean for the cost of that, you could probably buy a used WRX..unless your doing all the work yourself.

It's the wife's car? And she's content? Worry about yours then. Maybe get her some wheels or tint.

Well I had planned on doing those things, that's a given... but since I don't have my car yet and I'd really like to update her's since we don't plan to get rid of it, and I'm just not sure what exactly I want to do with it as far as "update", of course besides the obvious ;) She has already told me she doesn't want a 5 speed, go figure the woman wants to keep to automatic..lol but on the other hand she want's it to go faster, "WTF Woman", "I said you cannot have you cake and eat it too" of course the woman wins and she's keeping her automatic, so I think I'm going to install ah Injen coldair and a fewq other minor "go fasts" and then I'll just call it quits..... I may have to go back on my word of course when I get her, Her lexus :) Then I'll have two toys! My STI and The Legacy! Stay tuned I'll let ya know what happens, thanks for all the ideas guys!

I never really had a plan of action for mine. I knew what I wanted but never followed the path. If I came across a deal I would jump on it.
