Hey guys, so I met a curb the other day and thrashed my control arm, I have a new one and really need to get back on the road now. Needless to say it snapped my front sway-bar link. My question is can I temporarily, but safely drop my front sway-bar for the time being? I plan on picking up a set of the Whiteline ones in a couple weeks, so it would be daily driven until then, minus the swaybar. Thanks for the input!
Peace,
Chris

hey dude didnt know there was anybody else from duluth on sli! we gota meet up some time. what do u drive?

anyway, i dont think its a problem to go around with out a sway bar for a bit. odds are good the car will just get a little more tail happy till its replaced, but if u take it easy i dont think its a problem. but maybe somebody here might have more knowlege on the matter.

Hell yeah bro! I've got a '96 Legacy EX-Brighton wagon 5 Speed.
If anyone else has any thoughts on the sway bar, I'm game!
Here she is just for fun...

I'm currently without a rear sway bar. The car actually has a tendency to oversteer now... But it is also very floppy in turns. I wouldn't worry about it, just don't go zipping around corners too fast.

He's talking about the FRONT sway bar. Not the rear.

OP - it'll be fine for a short period of time, but as others have said, no aggressive moves.

I know he means the front, I'm just saying, from experience, I'm running without a sway bar fine right now. The motor is upfront, so it'll be more dramatic, but as long as you slow down for sharp turns you should be ok.

Hey, thanks guys! Great info! One more kind of unrelated, question, need a spindle too, I don't have ABS, but is there any reason I can't use an ABS spindle?
