View Full Version : What do you think of these rims?

I'm looking for 17" rims.. I came across these on the Toronto Subaru Club forum. $400 CAD, 7 x 7.5 with a 45mm offset.. I believe those should fit on my '99 BD.

They are Rota wheels, I have no idea what model. I can't find a decent front side picture so I can photoshop them onto my car

Offset is a little low. Stock offset is ET55 on the 16x6.5 rims.

I would prefer an offset of 48 or higher, but they look nice.

Offset is low, but it's not really that bad. If it was 17X8, that would actually be about right... The 7 inch wide Subie wheels are +53, the 7.5's are about +50, IIRC.

I had +40 mm offset 16X7 wheels on my car, they rubbed... A +40 mm offset did effect handling a bit. I'm sure that that wide of a wheel with that offset would be acceptable, just watch out for wheel bearing problems and rubbing. If you have a wagon, then I would say "no, don't bother", if you have a sedan, you might give it a go.

IIRC, a 17x7.5 et48 sits pretty close to the rear quarter panel lip. This wheel will be 3mm further out, which could be the difference between having to roll your fenders and not. Offset is pretty low for a Subaru too, but I suppose it could would. I'd be worried about excessive wear on your wheel bearings though.

They are

Lenso Competition Sport 17x7.5

Offset I'm not too sure, but they were on a GC and a WRX, so would they fit on mine?

A GC and WRX can run a 45 offset, doesn't mean it's good. ;)

the first set look like a set i just bought, they are 17x 7 .45 which i hope will fit :|

Edit: Second Set Looks extremely nice
