WRX TR seats!!!

Just picked up some 2006 WRX TR seats today... I only have one in for now, but am quite happy! My old seats were/are just really soiled, and didn't even come clean when I pulled off the skins and threw them in the washing machine.

These give the interior a nice modern look, but still look like they could have come stock.

What I love most about the TR interior are the colors.... Dark gray and black... it complements my interior very nicely IMHO. Personally, I don't care for the dark blue/black of the early WRX seats, or the blue alacantra of the sti's either.

The lego aspect of Subaru's really is quite a wonderful thing.

Still a few things to button up as has been mentioned by others (gaps mainly), but I really love them. And to the untrained eye, they look fabulous and do not notice those imperfections! :0

+1 on that! How much you pick them up for? Wonder if they make them in any other colors! Looks great man. Oh.. btw.. where are the gaps?

AFAIK the TR has only come in this color scheme (2006 and 2007).

The gaps that exist are the ones shazzaple mentioned before:

between the rear deck and the top of the seat and on the side bolsters where you can see the gap through the small triangle window.

I also have two other areas/problems that I have not seen mentioned before.

I noticed on the seat bottom that there is a small gap at the rear towards the floor and there is also a steel "tab" on each side that is protruding through a piece of trim that was covered by the old seat bottom.

How do these fit into other MY cars? I have an 02 with the "tweed" interior, which frankly sucks. The only good thing is I have the power adjustable seat.

Can you swap over a power seat just as easily? What's the cost of this compared to a Catzskin type application?

I have no guarantees but these should swap easily into an 02. Also, you should be able to mount the ebay seats onto your power seat rails, you may just have to enlarge the current mounting holes, or drill new ones.

IMO though, at 280 including shipping with the reserve not yet met, is awfully high for just the two front seats.

Oh yeah! I almost scored that set on ebay and then I stumbled on '04 WRX seats....

They look and feel great I sat in an '06 RS that had them.....Nice upgrade! :twisted:
