Another guy from Rochester, NY

Hi everybody, i'm Aaron. I'am from west of Rochester, NY. I have a 1995 Legacy L Wagon. Haven't done much to it yet as it has been a daily driver for a few years. I have just been busy with working and buying a house. Since i have been laid off i have had a little more time between looking for jobs to work on my cars.

I have a few plans for the car. I would like to paint it and maybe do some suspension work to it. The Legacy is nothing fancy. It has a 2.2 N/A motor so a turbo is out of the question without a block swap. The only things that i have done to the motor so far is change the headgaskets, front main seal, timing belt etc..etc.. All that goes along with doing the headgaskets. I have also debadged the back. Any and all comments and suggestions on what i could do to the car are welcome.

where to begin...

A fresh coat of paint is always nice, though it's hard to find a decent painter these days.

I'll be rocking through Rochester (sorta) in a month or so on my way to the Blue Mountains in Ontario, Canada. :D

Huffer, i do know of a decent painter but i would like to try and do the bodywork and maybe the paint too. I have painted a VW (first time painting and it didn't come out very well)and the hood from my Torino (came out better) so i may give it a try. I would like to get some more power out of the motor too. I don't know if i should though i has 191000 on the odometer. How close to Rochester are you going to be coming?.

If you're interested in painting yourself, i know a guy at RIT who painted his 91 turbo himself. maybe he can shed some light on this. hit me up on AIm anytime.

With 191000miles, you're in need of a rebuild on the engine if you want it to pull hard again.

And, while it's out, you might as well throw in some mild street cams for some extra pep. :D

Thanks for the suggestions guys i have another 2.2L that i will probably rebuild. I will start looking around for a good set of cams and a good machine shop.
