View Full Version : Looking for a front spoiler for my "L" bumper - BD

In 1996, the US market GT, and LSi's had a small front spoiler on the "L" front bumper. This picture explains what I am speaking of.

I have tried finding the spoiler on www.subarugenuineparts.com (http://www.subarugenuineparts.com), but I didn't find it in the parts catalog. Is there anywhere I can order this? I rather not buy a GT front bumper + bumper beam + a new grille. I think it would look sweet painted body color, especially with the circular fogs. Thanks to anyone who can assist me with the search!

This guy is parting out a 97 Legacy GT, see if he wants to part with that piece, his seller name is "affordable03" on Ebay.

i think its been said that the lip is part of the bumper. if it was screwed on that'd be great, but i think it has been confirmed that it is part of whole bumper...bummer

A. Thats a JDM bumper^

B. The front lip on the USDM GT's ARE one piece, which means you need the
WHOLE BUMPER!

Yes indeed I was aware that was a JDM front bumper. But the rest of the jdm bumper (besides the obvious lip at the bottom) is identicle to my "L" bumper. I also understand that the GT bumper 97+ is all one piece including the lip.

Are you all positive there is no way to attain the front spoiler off a '96? They really made two entirely different bumpers just for a small lip spoiler? Here are three pictures of a '96 US GT. That is crazy if they made a whole new bumper for the '96 GT + LSi.

There's actually one on Ebay right now, its a little cracked at the bottom though...As you can see the JDM bumper is one piece, I really can't speak for the other USDM, but I really think its two separate pieces. Your best bet would be to go to a junk yard and look for yourself.

I thought I'd bump my old thread to show you all the '96 GT/ LSi front bumper lip for the "L" bumper I've been talking about. Nobody seemed to believe me but here it is!!! I got mine color matched.

That looks really good! So is it a lip, or a whole bumper?

Thanks Dan! It is just a lip. It would look really good on your green wagon as well.

Chicago96GT has one on his green GT, and is unpainted. I think it is a bit more noticable when the lip is color matched.

Haha.. Yeah, it would look good. But that JDM grill you sold me a month ago still isn't even on my car. Last coat of clear is drying right now, but then I have to figure out how to mount the mesh inside my grill... Man I'm slow...
