ok, so from reading past posts and all i can tell that the general concensus is to stay away from nitrous.
Is it the fact that subaru engines do not react well to nitrous without significant modification?
let me explain my situation. I just gota great deal ona zex dry kit. I've got a 99 legacy 2.5gt 4eat. I'm looking to buy a new turbo legacy at the end of the year and want to spend as little bit of money to get a little bit more oomph from the leggy for the meantime just so i can spank on the hondas a little bit.
now i'm only planning on running a 25-35 shot, my question is what other supporting mods do i need to look into before i install the nitrous kit. if you're not familiar with the zex kit, it has all of the components contained in a little "brain" that measures the fuel pressure and automatically will cut off the flow of nitrous if the "brain" detects a lean condition before any damage has a chance to occur. atleast thats what the website told me.
to start with the obvious:
1) upgraded fuel pump
2) upgraded injectors
3) air/fuel guage
optional stuff:
1) fuel rails
2) electronic management
3) dry to wet conversion kit
the extras that have been needing to get installed:
1) Agency lightweight Power Pulley
2) OBX equal length headers
so. any comments or advice? anybody actually run nitrous that is still active on the forums? i've tried getting in touch with reddevil and others that have experience, but haven't gotten any responces... so any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
and hey, if you wanna flame me, have at it. judge not lest ye be judged.
(thanks Kevin Smith........oh, and God)
