no ac belt the car will run fine right??

i was putting my perring pulley in and my belt tightener snapped looks like rust took hold. and now i am worried if i fire up the engine that the timing might be off enough to screw up my car or will it run as though there was never as installed on the car?

runing with out a AC belt is fine, providing its not on the same one as the alternator...

and yea, your accessory belts have nothing to do with your timing belt.

thats what i thought i just wanted to make sure.
i also think i found the item i need to replace the link is below.
it looks like it contains the slider bolt and the the tightener.

edit: i think i have been had on ebay. i got the pulley off of ebay and the notch for lining up your pulley seems too small it could be something with my old pulley or something but i dont know. has anyone else had problems fitting their pulley on?
