So, I have had a few things done since the last thread, it got locked otherwise i would have posted it there. I had the radiator flushed, the block flushed, and thermostat replced twice. Im still overheating, but ive been paying attention to it more. I hear clicking from under the steering wheel, i know its not the fan relay cause its in the fuse box nder the hood, But i hae noticed that when it clicks, i overheat...and as long as i keep driving a constant speed, it goes back down, and if i have to stop i overheat and it wont come ack down until i cut the car off and let it cool.is been drivable now, with no visable problems. no leaks or anything like that.

so should i replace the fan relays, and does anyone know what it would be thats clicking when the fans come on?

Are you sure you're not leaking coolant? I had a same problem once. The shop worked on my car for a whole week...and kept blowing radiators...I must've went through 4 new radiators. Check your radiator cap. Replace the radiator and replace radiator cap. A bad radiator cap (higher pressure than stock) tend to blow radiators. I hope this helps. But I'm not a guru so this is just an opinion or my guess.

Maybe you have a head gasket problem.

Water pump?

Get the car good and hot and up to temp.

Stop and pop the hood. Watch to see if the fans turn on.

If they turn on, and you are still overheating, then you proabably need headgaskets.

If the fans do not turn on, then go looking for your misterious clicking noise.

Maybe a relay, or a a thermal breaker that is causing your problems.

Water pump?

After swapping the waterpump a couple of months ago as a cheap fix, I would never suspect one of these of failing!.

They are of such simple design, that if they failed, they would be leaking coolant out of the bearing breather long before they stopped pumping water.
