Start racing (and winning). In otherwords get out there and prove yourself.

My boy bought a SRT/4, and with no driving skills at all, went to a local shop, talked some shit, and got sponsored.

Where can I go locally, know of any links? Do you know where the spot is in Rockville for street racing? I've heard about it, but never been. I heard there's a great spot in Haymarket, VA that's virtually non-existant as far as The Man is concerned, but I have to get an exact address on that, too.

I'll be interested to see how long that lasts. As for the local street racing in Rockville. Couldn't tell ya. I still have functional brain cells so I avoid that BS.
If you really want to get into racing then I would start by checking these two sites. http://www.scca.org/ and http://www.auto-x.com/
One track not far from you is http://www.summitpoint-raceway.com/

You can't get sponsored by going to street races... this isn't need for speed underground... Get sponsored by going to a local track and winning. After a few years of consistently good times maybe you can start getting some interest.

Hey Tristan....when I first saw this guy on here I thought it was you posing as someone else. Flipped me out too because I know your last name. Good thing I didn't decide to start talking shit to this guy. Glad to see Jr and Sr could make it to SLi.

welcome dad.

Hell no it's not.

...unless he's 'donated' before.

I think kid's a wank, too. Streetracers are bitches.

Let ME do the shit talking:

You just wanna claim that you're 'sponsored', huh? Psssh, that won't get you respect, or bitches, both of which I'd assume you're after.

If you want to be sponsored, and have a badass, FAST car, an AWD Subaru probably isn't the platform for you. Please buy a civic. :D

You need to write up a letter asking for sponsorships. List your ride and mods. Then list what you've accomplished so far and what it is you're in to, like Rally, Autox, car shows ect.. Then list your plans for the future and how they can help you to achieve these goals. Make sure to explain why you're a good investment and how by investing in you their name and product will be seen by many.

For most shops and companies, sponsorships come out of their advertising budget, so realize that you will be an advertisment. You will also then be representing these sponsors at ALL times. So don't fuck up and get arrested for street racing or loose your cool at races. Nobody likes a hothead. You'll be scrutinized much more then the average person out there and expected to produce results.

Good luck!
